1. The Diagnosis: The False Choice

When a local business owner misses a phone call from a customer, they lose the job. To fix this, tech companies are currently pitching two terrible solutions: expensive overseas humans, or dangerous robotic voices.

Companies like Soportio sell "human-led" outsourced call centers (BPOs). For a local plumber or CPA making $2M a year, this is a massive payroll trap. It introduces language barriers, script deviations, and scales your costs directly with your headcount.
